Shahrokh Vafadari came to the UK from Kerman, Iran in 1950, before travelling the world and returning again in 1955. He was an engineer and is now retired. He lives in Surrey with his wife Anne. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
“I think the essence is to learn about other people’s religion before you can choose your own...You have to be very open minded because opinions are diverse; you can never say ‘I know everything’. You can always learn...by every day, every minute...I’m nearly 80 and I’m still learning from my own children.”
